With a lifelong fascination for wildlife, anatomy, movement and animal behavior, the artist began drawing at an early age. Starting with the American horses on her family's ranch, she quickly moved on to the wildlife and domestic animals in her environment. Having won numerous art awards, she went on to study at art school, where she mastered drawing, the cornerstone of her art. She studies and composes in charcoal, red chalk or graphite from photographs or on the spot.
Her passion for wildlife scenes, countryside scenes and portraits lies above all in working with light and shadow.
Amilie cultivates a realistic style, attentive to detail and context. Her aim is to represent her subjects in their most authentic form. She also likes to personalize her work, and can create your own dog, cat, horse or other on commission.
